About the Role
Working as part of the Process Team, as Process Operative you will ensure smooth operation of the manufacturing process in order to ensure the highest levels of product quality. You will be responsible for:
- the maintenance of kiln and dryer equipment including fans, burners etc
- responding to / dealing with any kiln, dryer or handling alarms
- complete all relevant paperwork associated with kiln and dryers, including the handling system
- Report and coordinate any faults/repairs to the maintenance team
- Read and record gas and electricity meter readings
- Grease kiln and dryer fans along with any other associated areas including the scrubber
- Check all belts on all kiln and dryer fans
- Complete various quality tasks as instructed
- Machine operator cover on various machines jk
- Call out appropriate people if necessary, to rectify faults
- Monitor and make necessary adjustments to Specials and Tiles Kilns
Hours of Work: 6.00am to 6.00pm on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
What Youll Bring
- Experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Team player who is safety conscious and adaptable
- Be able to carry out a broad range of tasks across all areas of the manufacturing process
- Must be literate as there is some paperwork involved
- Able to use a PC and Office suite of programs as this will be required on a daily basis
- An understanding of QA standards and the importance of achieving consistent high quality in manufacturing
- Good general safety awareness
- Current FLT licence and driving experience within the last six months is desirable
